YOUTH FACILITES

Generous youth facilities allow many of the local teenagers to frequent the leisure centre. Beside the numerous sport and leisure activities provided for the students, the upstairs area is open most of time for gathering, hanging out, playing pool and enjoy a sweetie (or three). Also available is a projector for movie nights, and Xbox 360, a video editing suite, two laptops and other equipment at the high schoolers' disposal. Most of these items are available from the youth worker.

Besides having the freedom to come and “lounge” upstairs during the school year high school students can take advantage of “the element.” The element takes place Monday and Wednesday night during school terms from 7-9pm. During this time high school students have exclusive use of the upstairs including the computer room. These nights while designed to allow for homework support but are open to any high school student that wants to come and hang out. We also run the youth café on twice a month on Saturday nights. Please check with the youth worker or the youth calendar (located upstairs) for specific nights. ACCYP is part of Youth Highland/Scotland which allows the students to join in further reaching activities including sports, competitions, and educational programs.
